Evaluation question 1: In what ways does your media products, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products

For the sound section we took inspiration from Ed shearan's castle on the hill where he uses a digetic sound before the song starts, this video is belo

We also took inspiration from rag and bone man with the 360 hyperlapse segment, i liked this but thionk it could be produced to amuch beter quality if we had more time.

Evaluation question 2: how effective is the combination of your main product and anxillary tasks

These Prezi's look at the synergy between my 3 products.

I feel like my 3 tasks work well together, even though I have used different style titles for each one I feel it makes it unique and different to exisitng products. Whilst many existing products use the same typography I made mine different so they didnt clash with other members in the group and look the same. I feel like I used the blue theme as a secret message that most of the audience didnt know about, apart from it being the same colour. This links in with staurt halls theory that, media texts can be encoded by the producer.

Evaluation question 3: What have you learned from audience feedback

We mainly got out audience feedback from the showcase evening that was for family and friends to watch our videos. after the videos were shown there was a voting slip handed out to everyone, after the votes were counted, it was announced that we won the best music video, was also got voted by the teachers for the best editing.

We also gained feeback throughout the planning and editing stages which had a big impact on our final product. when editing we used our teacher for alot of the feedback and other pupils in our class. it was also very important to gain a suitbale audience profile for the music video, so they would be more of a primary audience, not a secondary and tertairy which links to tunstalls theory.

Luckily one of the members of the audience allowed us to film her giving us feedback. here it is below.

In the showcase evening we also had our digipaks and album covers on display and some comments that I overheard were complimenting how professional they looked, and how the synergy between the products was obvious due to locations in the background and the colour themes.

The feedback we gained was very useful to us as it highlighted the areas we are the strongest in, whether it was the representation of the relationship breaking up etc. the feedback also pointed out areas to improve like showing more of his mental health issues and how to possibly represent something like that in future projects.

Evaluation question 4: How did you use media technologies in the construction and research planning and evaluation stages

Looking back on my A2 product I am proud of how much my technology skills developed from AS. I feel like I understand a lot more of the editing side of the production, which is an area that I didn’t get to explore in AS year My answer for this evaluation question I created on pow toon.

Time managment

Josh was the director of the group and took a lot of awareness of the time management and was focusing we were getting the correct shots done on the days and maximising the potential time we had. Below is a video he created highlight the problems that he identified.

After looking back to my time management plan i realised that whilst i met most of the important points some parts of it like the filming, I wish we stuck more the plan as it added unnecessary stress when we were running out of time for filming, the editing was also a time consuming part but was complete on time even though we went over time for filming.
