Annotation of the lyrics of the song

Cast list

In or video we have chosen to use 2 characters a male and a female. the narrative will be about the relationship between the two and mainly focus from his point of view.We've had to make a couple of changes to our cast due to other commitments                                   

The male character was originally going to be played by Casey Deeks but due to other commitments clashing with filming times we decided that he couldn't be in it. As a group we decided that the male portagonist would be played by Alex Newbold, Alex is also a member of our group so its alot easier for his availability for when we need to film.

The girl in our video was originally gonna be played by Rosie Pope but as she attends a different school it would of been very difficult to organise the times and days for filming. It was quite hard to get a female for filming who as highly available so it wouldn't of been to much of a problem. We finally decided that Jade Evans a pupil from the same school and also studies media but is a year below would of been a suitable fit for the role would be featured as the female in the film. Jades also had a lot of previous acting experiences so this was another bonus for us.




We were originally going to use Casey Deeks and Rosie Pope in our video as they were already in a relationship but due to some confusions and other commitments in free time to film we selected Jade and Alex

Song decision

For our music video we have decided to use the song ' I hate you, I love you'

Our initial ideas for the narative for the music video was that there would be a relationship, where at the start of the video the relationship would be going good, and halfway through there would be a breakup and the boy would feel worse about the break up and have some mental issues due to the break up. We also wanted to include lyrics in out video, we've taken inspitration from the chainsmokers 'closer' video and have decided that we wanted to try and do that style with the lyrics coming ascross the screen.

A list of songs that I would like to use for my music video

In our group we came up with 2 different songs each that we would like to use to see if we had any songs which were the same style or completeley different. In our group Josh chose the songs - Wisemen by James Blunt, and found what i've been looking for by tom grennan. Oliver chose the songs- When it all goes wrong by Chasing Status, and I fall apart by Post malone. Alex chose Pick me up by Clean cut kid, and Ignorance by Paramore. For my two songs I chose 1-800-273-8255 by Logic, and Beautiful life by Lost frequencies. I chose these becasue they are quite new songs and very poplar, we decided not to do these songs though becuase the song 1-800-273-8255 had a really good music video and thought that our film wouldnt meet the high standard that it had already set. And we didnt do Beautiful life becuase it wasnt the correct genre of music for the video we wanted to film and wouldnt of fit. In the end we decided on the song 'I hate you, I love you'.
